This study aims to analyze and design a control system for consumable material inventory in the molding division at PT XYZ. The main problem faced is the high frequency of stockouts and overstocks due to a control system that is still manual and not based on quantitative calculations. The methods used include Pareto analysis to determine the focus of the study, as well as ABC and FSN classification to identify material priorities and movement. Subsequently, safety stock calculations were performed and the Min-Max method was applied to determine optimal inventory levels. The research results indicate that the molding division contributes most significantly to inventory imbalances, particularly for materials with high turnover rates. The application of these methods yields control parameters such as safety stock, reorder points, and maximum inventory limits as guidelines for stock management. This study proposes a quantitative-based inventory control system equipped with stock-taking WI and an Excel VBA-based monitoring system. This system is expected to minimize the risks of stockouts and overstock and support the smooth operation of the production process.
