      Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium Tuberculosis and remains a major public health problem in Indonesia due to its high incidence rate. In this study, the transmission dynamics of tuberculosis are modeled using a mathematical approach by incorporating several transmission aspects among susceptible individuals. The population is divided into six subpopulations aspects among susceptible individuals. The population is divided into six subpopulations using the SVEITR (Susceptible–Vaccinated–Exposed–Infected–Treatment–Recovered) model. The objective of this study is to identify the parameters that can be used to control the disease and achieve a disease-free condition. The methods employed include determining equilibrium points, calculating the basic reproduction number R0, conducting sensitivity analysis on the model parameters, and performing numerical simulations. Stability analysis shows that the disease-free equilibrium is stable when R0<1, whereas the endemic equilibrium is stable when R0>1. The results of the numerical simulations indicate that reducing the disease transmission rate and increasing the treatment rate significantly contribute to controlling the spread of the disease, thereby leading to a disease-free condition.
