      Abstract
Feed is a determining factor in growth and constitutes the largest cost in production, reaching 60–70%. This is a problem that must be addressed by fish farmers in Indonesia in order to streamline production. One way to overcome this problem is to make fish feed from alternative raw materials that are cheaper and easier to obtain in the local market. The objective of this aquaculture project is to produce and evaluate the results of an innovative alternative feed product in the form of pellets made from a combination of kangkung vegetable waste, papaya leaves, cassava leaves, and Lemna sp. aquatic weeds, which can be used in the cultivation of Oreochromis niloticus tilapia. This project was carried out in several stages, namely market survey, pellet production, and pellet testing on a cultivation scale. The results of the fisheries project show that this innovation of pellets made from vegetable waste and Lemna sp. is able to increase feed efficiency in tilapia cultivation by 74,45%. The resulting product has been proven to be a high-nutrient pellet that meets the nutritional needs of tilapia.
