dc.description.abstractKabupaten Indramayu merupakan wilayah di Jawa Barat yang mengalami degradasi mangrove signifikan. Upaya rehabilitasi pada tahun 2020 diinisiasi oleh BPDAS Cimanuk-Citanduy di Desa Karanganayar, Pabean Ilir, Cemara, Cangkring, dan Cemara Kulon mencakup area 470 ha dengan 2.707.320 bibit Rhizophora spp. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan tutupan mangrove di seluruh wilayah pesisir Kabupaten Indramayu serta di area rehabilitasi pada periode 2019 hingga 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan spasiotemporal melalui platform google earth engine, algoritma random forest, dan analisis kerapatan dengan normalized difference vegetation index. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan luasan mangrove di pesisir Kabupaten Indramayu berfluktuasi, yaitu 699,9 ha (2019), 390,6 ha (2020), 818,3 ha (2022), dan 1.123,2 ha (2024). Luasan mangrove di area rehabilitasi sangat rendah, karena pada tahun 2024 luasnya hanya mencapai 3% dari total 470 ha yang ditargetkan, dengan rincian 3,2 ha (2019), 0,8 ha (2020), 5,2 ha (2022), dan 14,2 ha (2024). Fluktuasi luasan ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh faktor biofisik dan antropogenik. Waktu penanaman yang tepat, koordinasi dengan masyarakat, serta monitoring-evaluasi berkala sangat penting dilakukan demi keberlanjutan ekosistem mangrove.
dc.description.abstractIndramayu Regency is a region in West Java experiencing significant mangrove degradation. Rehabilitation efforts in 2020 by BPDAS Cimanuk Citanduy in Karanganayar, Pabean Ilir, Cemara, Cangkring, and Cemara Kulon covered 470 ha with 2.707.320 Rhizophora spp. seedlings. This study aims to analyze changes in mangrove cover across the coastal areas of Indramayu Regency and within rehabilitation sites from 2019 to 2024. The method employed a spatiotemporal approach using google earth engine, random forest algorithm, and density analysis with normalized difference vegetation index. This study indicate that coastal mangrove extent in Indramayu Regency was fluctuated, namely 699,9 ha (2019), 390,6 ha (2020), 818,3 ha (2022), and 1.123,2 ha (2024). Mangrove extent in the rehabilitation area remained very low, as the mangrove cover in 2024 reached only 3% of the initial 470 ha target, with details of 3,2 ha (2019), 0,8 ha (2020), 5,2 ha (2022), and 14,2 ha (2024). Biophysical and anthropogenic factors are suspected to influence these fluctuations. Appropriate planting timing, community coordination, and regular monitoring-evaluation are essential.
