| dc.description.abstract | Frozen skipjack tuna is a major export commodity for Indonesia, but faces fierce competition from other exporters. This requires Indonesia to maintain its position. The
purpose of this study is to analyze market structure using CR8 and HHI, competitiveness using RCA and RSCA, and elasticity using the AIDS Model. The data source is secondary data obtained from Trade Map with HS code 030343. The data used is a panel with monthly time series from 2014 to 2024. Meanwhile, cross-sectional data is used for China, Taiwan, Spain, South Korea, the Maldives, and Indonesia. The
results show that the market structure for frozen skipjack tuna exports in the international market is a monopolistic competitive market with inelastic demand for Indonesia and as a normal good. In addition, Indonesia has strong competitiveness, as evidenced by an RSCA value of 0.65, and tends to compete fiercely with Spain and South Korea. Meanwhile, Indonesia can establish cooperation with China and Taiwan as raw material suppliers. The findings of this study reveal that Indonesia has a strong position in the international market with a focus on market intelligence strategies, stabilization of competitiveness through strengthening the quality assurance system and supply continuity, as well as corporate strategies with China and Taiwan in the global supply chain. | |
