| dc.description.abstract | Perkembangan perkotaan yang pesat di Kota Depok menyebabkan perubahan tutupan lahan, khususnya peningkatan kawasan terbangun dan penurunan vegetasi yang berdampak pada peningkatan suhu permukaan dan udara, serta memicu fenomena urban heat island (UHI). Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi intensitas fenomena UHI di Kota Depok dan menganalisis potensi urban farming sebagai strategi mitigasi untuk mengurangi intensitas UHI. Studi ini menggunakan citra satelit Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS dari tahun 2015, 2020, dan 2025 untuk analisis tutupan lahan, suhu permukaan, suhu udara, dan intensitas UHI, serta data suhu udara dari Stasiun Meteorologi Halim Perdana Kusuma dan automatic weather station (AWS) di kawasan urban farming. Intensitas UHI dianalisis menggunakan metode urban thermal field variance index (UTFVI). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa intensitas UHI di Kota Depok meningkat selama periode 2015–2025 dan terkonsentrasi di kawasan perkotaan yang didominasi oleh lahan terbangun. Analisis kerapatan vegetasi menunjukkan hubungan terbalik antara suhu dan luas UHI. Lebih lanjut, kawasan urban farming menunjukkan karakteristik termal yang lebih baik, ditandai dengan suhu maksimum yang lebih rendah, suhu minimum yang stabil, dan nilai diurnal temperature range (DTR) yang lebih rendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa urban farming berpotensi menjadi strategi mitigasi berbasis vegetasi untuk mengurangi intensitas UHI dan memperbaiki iklim mikro perkotaan di Kota Depok. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Rapid urban development in Depok City has caused changes in land cover, particularly an increase in built-up areas and a decrease in vegetation, which has an impact on increasing surface and air temperatures and triggering the urban heat island (UHI) phenomenon. This study aims to identify the intensity of the UHI phenomenon in Depok City and analyze the potential of urban farming as a mitigation strategy to reduce UHI intensity. This study uses Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS satellite imagery from 2015, 2020, and 2025 for analysis of land cover, surface temperature, air temperature, and UHI intensity, as well as air temperature data from the Halim Perdana Kusuma Meteorological Station and automatic weather stations (AWS) in urban farming areas. UHI intensity was analyzed using the urban thermal field variance index (UTFVI) method. The results show that UHI intensity in Depok City increased during the 2015–2025 period and was concentrated in urban areas dominated by built-up land. Vegetation density analysis shows an inverse relationship between temperature and UHI area. Furthermore, urban farming areas exhibited improved thermal characteristics, characterized by lower maximum temperatures, stable minimum temperatures, and lower diurnal temperature range (DTR). These findings suggest that urban farming has the potential to be a vegetation-based mitigation strategy to reduce UHI intensity and improve the urban microclimate in Depok City. | |
