Pengembangan Reksa Dana Syariah Berbasis Wakaf Forestry Fund untuk Mendukung Pengelolaan Hutan Wakaf

Abstract

Produk reksa dana syariah di Indonesia terus menunjukkan pertumbuhan dana kelola cukup baik, namun belum signifikan karena rendahnya literasi dan minat masyarakat, serta kurangnya inovasi produk investasi, apalagi yang memiliki tujuan sosial. Di sisi lain, pengelolaan hutan wakaf yang merupakan salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi krisis lingkungan global, menghadapi keterbatasan pendanaan berkelanjutan, sementara potensi wakaf produktif sebagai instrumen filantropi belum optimal dimanfaatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengembangan skema produk reksa dana syariah berbasis wakaf sebagai instrumen investasi dengan tujuan sosial (filantropi) dan merumuskan prioritas alternatif strategi implementasi skema produk di industri pasar modal Indonesia. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi pustaka, wawancara pakar, focus group discussion, analisis SWOT, dan Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Hasil yang diharapkan adalah desain produk yang feasible, sesuai regulasi, menarik bagi investor, serta mampu memberikan manfaat ganda berupa keuntungan finansial dan kontribusi sosial-ekologis. Penelitian ini menawarkan inovasi untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam investasi syariah sekaligus memperkuat pendanaan berkelanjutan bagi konservasi lingkungan.

Islamic mutual funds in Indonesia have continued to demonstrate relatively strong growth in assets under management; however, the growth remains less significant due to low levels of public literacy and interest, as well as limited innovation in investment products, particularly those with social objectives. On the other hand, the management of waqf forests, recognized as one of the potential solutions to address the global environmental crisis, faces challenges in securing sustainable funding, while the potential of productive waqf as a philanthropic instrument has not been optimally utilized. This study aims to analyze the development of a sharia mutual fund product scheme as an investment instrument with social (philanthropic) objectives, and to formulate the priority of alternative strategies for its implementation within the Indonesian capital market industry. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature studies, expert interviews, focus group discussions, SWOT analysis, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The expected outcome is a feasible product design that complies with regulations, appeals to investors, and delivers dual benefits in the form of financial returns and socio-ecological contributions. This study offers an innovation to enhance public participation in Islamic investment while simultaneously strengthening sustainable funding for environmental conservation.
