Pengaruh Pengaplikasian Biochar Bambu dan Limbah Ekstrak Bromelin Terhadap Permeabilitas Tanah di Perkebunan Nanas
Abstract
Intensive pineapple cultivation on Ultisol soil in PT. Great Giant Pineapple (GGP) plantation area has experienced land degradation characterized by a decline in the quality of soil physical properties. This study aims to measure and analyze the effect of the application of chopped bamboo biochar (BC) and bromelain extraction waste biochar (LEB) on soil permeability and its supporting physical properties. The study was conducted in plot 80A owned by PT. GGP, Central Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. The study was conducted using a randomized block design on the treatment of chopped bamboo biochar (BC) and bromelain extraction waste (LEB). The dose levels tested were 0%, 50%, 100%, 150% SOP with four replications, respectively. The physical property parameters observed included permeability, bulk density, aggregate stability index, and organic carbon. The results showed that the application of BC biochar had a significant effect (p <0.05) on soil permeability within 3 months of observation at a dose of 150% (4.1 tons/ha). LEB biochar did not have a significant effect on permeability or other physical properties.
