      Abstract

Honeybee cultivation is one of the utilization of non-timber forest products that is widely developed in the buffer zone of Tapos Resort, Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park (TNGGP). This study aims to map the potential of forests as a source of honeybee food, measure the availability of flowering plants, and analyze the participation of Forest Farmer Groups (KTH). The research methods include guided classification using Landsat 8 imagery, vegetation analysis, and interviews. The results show that the forest area in Tapos Resort, TNGGP has the potential as a source of honeybee food, characterized by the availability of flowering plants dominated by bandotan species in stup A and red calliandra in stup B. Bandotan species are pollen producers, while red calliandra produce nectar and pollen throughout the year. The participation of KTH members is high (43%) in national park management and honeybee cultivation. This study strengthens the important role of forest areas in Tapos Resort, TNGGP in the sustainability of honeybee cultivation by providing food sources and supporting KTH participation, making it suitable as a basis for developing area-based honeybee management.
