      Abstract
      JENNI DWI ANGGRAINI. Perubahan Pengetahuan Peserta Sekolah Lapang Bawang Merah Melalui Pendampingan Kelompok Tani Desa Padang, Belitung Timur. Dibimbing oleh WIDYA HASIAN SITUMEANG dan AGIEF JULIO PRATAMA. Bawang merah merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang banyak diminati. Permasalahan yang ada di Belitung Timur salah satunya Desa Padang adalah meningkatnya kebutuhan produksi bawang merah dan jumlah petani yang membudidayakannya masih terbatas. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut dibuatlah program sekolah lapang bawang merah. Sekolah lapang bawang merah merupakan upaya yang dilakukan untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut dengan harapan bahwa dapat menambah pengetahuan peserta mengenai bawang merah. Sekolah lapang merupakan sebuah proses pembelajaran non-formal yang dirancang khusus bagi para petani untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui situasi Kelompok Tani yang ada di Desa Padang dan budidaya pertanian yang dilakukan, perubahan pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah sekolah lapang serta mengetahui apakah sekolah lapang sudah sesuai dengan SOP yang dianjurkan. Penelitian tersebut menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan pengumpulan data kuantitatif melalui pre test dan post test. Komunitas yang dijadikan sasaran pada penelitian tersebut yaitu petani aktif yang berjumlah 25 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta sekolah lapang dalam melakukan proses budidaya masih berdasarkan pengalaman turun temurun yang telah lama diterapkan. Proses pelaksanaan sekolah lapang tentunya tidak terlepas pada SOP yang dianjurkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada praktik langsung di lapang terdapat ketidaksesuaian dikarenakan waktu yang dimiliki belum memadai. Terdapat perubahan pengetahuan peserta setelah dilakukannya sekolah lapang bawang merah di setiap tahapan budidaya. Sebagian besar pelaksanaan sekolah lapang memberikan dampak positif terhadap peserta yang mengikuti.
       
      Shallots are a highly sought-after horticultural crop. One of the problems in East Belitung, particularly in Padang Village, is the increasing demand for shallots and the limited number of farmers who cultivate them. To address this problem, a shallot field school program was established. The shallot field school is an effort to address this problem with the hope of increasing participants' knowledge about shallots. Field schools are a non-formal learning process specifically designed for farmers to improve their knowledge and skills. Research was conducted to determine the situation of farmer groups in Padang Village and the agricultural practices carried out, changes in participants' knowledge before and after the field school, and whether the field school was in accordance with the recommended SOP. The research used a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out using a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation, while quantitative data was collected through pre-tests and posttests. The target community for this research was 25 active farmers. The results showed that field school participants still relied on traditional methods that had been practiced for a long time in their farming practices. The implementation of the field school was certainly in line with the recommended SOP. The results of the study showed that in direct practice in the field, there were discrepancies due to insufficient time. There were changes in the participants' knowledge after the shallot field school was conducted at each stage of cultivation. For the most part, the field school had a positive impact on the participants who attended.
