      Abstract

Ozone is a gas with unique properties, having a negative impact on the surface but being protective in the stratosphere. The presence of surface ozone has serious impacts on human health, including causing respiratory problems and increasing the risk of heart disease and other health problems. This study aims to examine the long-term trend of ozone concentration and factors contributing to the formation of surface ozone in the DKI Jakarta area from 2010 to 2024. Data on O3, NO, NO2 concentrations, air temperature, solar radiation, and rainfall from five ambient air quality monitoring stations (SPKUA) were analyzed to obtain diurnal and daily trends. Annual trends were analyzed through data plots and linear regression. The relationship between O3 and its precursors, as well as meteorological factors, was analyzed using a second-degree polynomial model and multiple linear regression. The results showed significant fluctuations between months and years, as well as increases and decreases in O3 concentrations with a range of -1.44 – +3.31 per year. The highest increase in O3 concentration with a value of +3.31 per year was in the DKI 5 Kebon Jeruk area. Ozone forming factors in this case NO and NO2 have a negative correlation with O3, due to the titration process, while the relationship with NO2 in the DKI 1 Bundaran HI area is positively correlated. The relationship between rainfall and O3 is positive while rainfall with NO and NO2 is negative with a p-value <0.05. Multiple linear regression analysis shows that NO, NO2 solar radiation and air temperature affect O3 fluctuations with R2 = 46.9%, the highest in the DKI 3 Jagakarsa area.
