      Abstract

The APRS-based communication system is crucial for real-time environmental data transmission; however, its implementation with SDR devices such as HackRF faces technical challenges like low sensitivity and high interference. To address these challenges, this study developed a temperature and humidity monitoring system based on Raspberry Pi and the DHT22 sensor, whose data is validated through OpenWeatherMap and transmitted using the APRS protocol via HackRF. The research was conducted at the Satellite Technology Research Center (BRIN) to support flexible and efficient communication needs in satellite research environments. The test results showed that the system was able to display real-time data through the Blynk platform, with temperature deviations of ±0.5°C and humidity deviations of ±4.5%, still within tolerance limits. To assess accuracy, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Pearson Correlation analysis were used to compare the sensor data with reference data from OpenWeatherMap. The use of HackRF proved effective in wirelessly transmitting data with flexible range. In conclusion, this system is effective, reliable, cost-efficient, and has high potential for implementation in small satellite communication systems or IoT-based environmental monitoring in various operational conditions.
