      Abstract

Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the most promising freshwater aquaculture species. However, tilapia farming at the Al-Bahrain Islamic Boarding School faces challenges such as slow fish growth, which is suspected to be due to nutritional deficiencies, resulting in body deformities. Additionally, there is a lack of information and inadequate aquaculture management. One effort to address these issues is through improved aquaculture and feed management by enriching feed with additional nutrients. The objective of this problem-solving initiative was to overcome the low productivity of tilapia farming. The intervention included three treatments: P0 as a control using HI Provite 788-3 feed without probiotics; P1 with the addition of EM4 probiotics at a dosage of 15 mL kg?¹ of feed; and P2 with the addition of PRC probiotics at 100 mL L?¹ of feed. The results showed that the addition of PRC probiotics to fish feed significantly improved tilapia productivity, with a survival rate of 91.2%, a feed conversion ratio (FCR) of 1.04, and favorable economic outcomes indicated by an R/C ratio of 1.41 and a profit of IDR 26,890,333.
