      Abstract

Corydoras catfish is one of Indonesia's leading aquaculture commodities. One of the critical aspects that must be considered in fish farming activities to optimize production is the use of appropriate feed and optimal stocking density. This study aims to evaluate and implement the optimal stocking density that provides a positive effect on the growth rate and survival of corydoras fry. The study employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications, consisting of control (4 fish L?¹), P1 (7 fish L?¹), P2 (10 fish L?¹), and P3 (13 fish L?¹). The results showed that the highest values of absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, specific length growth rate, and specific weight growth rate were found in the P1 treatment, with values of 2,44±0,01 cm, 0,42±0,00 g, 3,55±0,02% day-1, and 1,17±0,00% day 1, respectively. The stocking density in the P1 treatment (7 fish L?¹) showed significant results for absolute length growth, absolute weight growth, specific length growth rate, and specific weight growth rate parameters.
