Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan antara struktur skrip pemberitaan online dengan tingkat pemahaman pembaca terhadap isi berita. Struktur skrip yang dimaksud merujuk pada pola penulisan berita, seperti penggunaan unsur 5W+1H (What, Who, When, Where, Why, dan How), serta urutan informasi dari yang paling penting ke kurang penting (prinsip inverted pyramid). Era digital, berita online sering kali dikonsumsi secara cepat dan singkat, sehingga penataan informasi yang efektif menjadi penting untuk memastikan bahwa pembaca dapat memahami isi berita secara utuh. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini menganalisis bagaimana elemen struktur skrip tersebut memengaruhi daya tangkap dan interpretasi pembaca terhadap konten berita. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 60 responden di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota, Sumatera Barat. Populasi penelitian adalah 34.000 jiwa, dan sampel diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dengan rumus Slovin. Data primer diperoleh langsung dari kuesioner, sementara data sekunder didapatkan dari wawancara, internet, artikel, dan sumber lain yang relevan. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang dibagi menjadi tiga bagian: profil responden, struktur skrip pemberitaan online, dan pemahaman pembaca. Uji validitas instrumen dilakukan dengan koefisien korelasi Product Moment Pearson, menunjukkan semua pertanyaan valid. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach's Alpha, menghasilkan koefisien 0,937 untuk struktur skrip dan 0,880894 untuk pemahaman pembaca, menunjukkan konsistensi yang sangat baik. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk menggambarkan variabel dan statistik inferensial (korelasi rank Spearman) untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel. Penelitian ini mengukur sejauh mana struktur penulisan berita (skrip) memengaruhi tingkat pemahaman mereka, yang ditentukan melalui sejumlah pertanyaan pemahaman isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Mayoritas responden menilai struktur skrip berita di Matapubliknusantara.com "baik" hingga "sangat baik". Secara keseluruhan, struktur skrip berita dianggap efektif dalam menjelaskan peristiwa dan membantu pembaca memahami konteks. Tingkat pemahaman pembaca juga menunjukkan hasil baik dan sangat baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gaya penulisan yang menarik dan penyajian informasi yang jelas berkontribusi pada pemahaman pembaca yang tinggi. Hasil analisis korelasi rank Spearman menunjukkan koefisien sebesar 0,786. Nilai ini mengindikasikan adanya hubungan positif yang sangat kuat dan nyata antara struktur skrip pemberitaan online dengan pemahaman pembaca.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the structure of online news scripts and readers' level of comprehension of the news content. Script structure refers to news writing patterns, such as the use of the 5Ws + 1H (What, Who, When, Where, Why, and How) and the ordering of information from most to least important (the inverted pyramid principle). In the digital era, online news is often consumed quickly and concisely, making effective information organization crucial to ensuring readers' comprehensive understanding of the news. Therefore, this study analyzes how these script structure elements influence readers' comprehension and interpretation of news content. This study employed a quantitative correlational method by distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents in Lima Puluh Kota Regency, West Sumatra. The study population was 34,000 people, and the sample was drawn using simple random sampling with the Slovin formula. Primary data were obtained directly from the questionnaire, while secondary data were gathered from interviews, the internet, articles, and other relevant sources. The research instrument, a questionnaire, was divided into three sections: respondent profile, online news script structure, and reader comprehension. Instrument validity was tested using the Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient, indicating that all questions were valid. Reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha yielded coefficients of 0.937 for script structure and 0.880894 for reader comprehension, indicating excellent consistency. Data analysis used descriptive statistics to describe the variables and inferential statistics (Spearman rank correlation) to examine the relationship between variables. This study measured the extent to which news writing structure (script) influenced their level of comprehension, as determined through a series of content comprehension questions. The results showed that the majority of respondents rated the news script structure on Matapubliknusantara.com as "good" to "very good." Overall, the news script structure was considered effective in explaining events and helping readers understand the context. Reader comprehension also showed good to very good results. This indicates that an engaging writing style and clear presentation of information contribute to high reader comprehension. The Spearman rank correlation analysis showed a coefficient of 0.786. This value indicates a very strong and significant positive relationship between online news script structure and reader comprehension.
