      Pengaruh Jumlah Sel Somatik terhadap Jumlah Enterobacteriaceae dari Peternakan Sapi Perah di Jawa Barat

      Abstract
      Jumlah sel somatik (JSS) dan jumlah Enterobacteriaceae digunakan sebagai parameter dalam evaluasi kualitas susu. Jumlah sel somatik mengindikasikan gangguan kesehatan ambing, sedangkan Enterobacteriaceae mencerminkan tingkat higiene dalam proses pemerahan dan penanganan susu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji hubungan antara jumlah sel somatik dan jumlah Enterobacteriaceae pada peternakan sapi perah di Jawa Barat. Pengujian terhadap 583 kuartir susu dari peternakan sapi perah di Jawa Barat dilakukan menggunakan metode Breed dan uji jumlah Enterobacteriaceae dengan analisis statistik uji korelasi Spearman dan Kruskal Wallis menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata jumlah sel somatik sebesar 2.041.578 ± 6.571.359 sel/mL dan Enterobacteriaceae sebesar 627 ± 4.955 CFU/mL. Uji korelasi menunjukkan tidak terdapat korelasi signifikan antara keduanya (r = -0,076; p-value = 0,065). Kedua parameter tidak saling mempengaruhi, sehingga perlu dilakukan penilaian terpisah dalam penelitian kualitas susu. Pemantauan secara berkala diperlukan untuk memastikan kualitas dan keamanan susu tetap terjaga.
       
      Somatic cell count (SCC) and Enterobacteriaceae count are commonly used as parameters in milk quality evaluation. Somatic cell count indicates udder health disorders, while Enterobacteriaceae reflects hygiene levels during the milking and milk handling processes. This study aimed to examine the relationship between SCC and Enterobacteriaceae levels in dairy farms in West Java. A total of 583 milk quarters from dairy farms in West Java were tested using the Breed method for somatic cell count and plate count method for Enterobacteriaceae, with statistical evaluation performed using Spearman correlation and Kruskal Wallis tests through the SPSS software. The results showed an average SCC of 2,041,578 ± 6,571,359 cells/mL and an average Enterobacteriaceae count of 627 ± 4,955 CFU/mL. Correlation analysis indicated no significant relationship between the two parameters (r = -0,076; p-value = 0,065). As the two parameters do not influence each other, separate assessments are necessary when evaluating milk quality. Regular monitoring is essential to ensure that milk quality and safety remains consistent.
