      Evaluasi Hatchability Menggunakan Uji Breaking Egg Test di Hatchery Kronjo

      Abstract
      Hatchability atau daya tetas telur merupakan suatu sifat yang sangat penting secara ekonomi dalam industri perunggasan, karena berpengaruh besar terhadap produksi anak ayam atau day old chick (DOC). Keberhasilan penetasan telur sangat bergantung pada embrio yang sedang berkembang di dalam telur tetas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penyebab terjadinya kematian embrio pada hatching egg menggunakan uji breaking egg test. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data ini yaitu studi Variation Finding Comparison (Perbandingan Penemuan Variasi), metode kuantitatif dengan menetapkan suatu penyebab terjadinya kegagalan penetasan hatching egg dan metode kualitatif untuk mengevaluasi terjadinya kematian embrio. Sampel yang digunakan ialah telur infertil, early dead embryos, middle dead embryos, late dead embryos, pipping egg, dan telur DIS. Tingkat keberhasilan hatchability pada farm Pawenang (92,3%) lebih tinggi dibanding farm Campang (90,3%) Salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan hal ini terjadi adalah perbedaan usia dari induk ayam dimana farm Campang lebih tua dibandingkan farm Pawenang. Faktor lain penyebab kematian embrio yaitu suhu, kelembaban, ventilasi, turning, dan kontaminasi.
       
      Hatchability is an economically important trait in the poultry industry, because has a important effect on the production of day old chicks (DOC). The success of egg hatching is highly dependent on the developing embryo in the hatching egg. This study aims to evaluate the cause of embryonic death in hatching eggs using the breaking egg test. The method used in this data collection is a Variation Finding Comparison study, a quantitative method by determining a cause of hatching egg failure and a qualitative method to evaluate the occurrence of embryo death. The samples used were infertile eggs, early dead embryos, middle dead embryos, late dead embryos, pipping eggs, and DIS eggs. The success rate of hatchability on farm Pawenang (92.3%) was higher than farm Campang (90.3%) One of the factors that caused this to happen was the age difference of the hens where farm Campang was older than farm Pawenang. Other factors causing embryo death are temperature, humidity, ventilation, turning, and contamination.
