| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh konten edukasi karier pada akun TikTok @vmuliana terhadap kepercayaan diri fresh graduate dalam menghadapi proses rekrutmen. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial sebagai sumber informasi nonformal, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda yang sedang mempersiapkan diri untuk masuk ke dunia kerja. TikTok, sebagai platform berbasis video pendek, telah menjadi medium populer yang tidak hanya menyajikan hiburan, tetapi juga konten edukatif, termasuk dalam bidang pengembangan karier.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan analisis Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Responden penelitian adalah 75 lulusan Program Studi Komunikasi Digital dan Media Sekolah Vokasi IPB University yang telah mengakses atau menonton konten edukasi karier dari akun TikTok @vmuliana. Variabel yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari karakteristik individu (kemampuan, kepribadian, dan pembelajaran), konsumsi konten edukasi karier (frekuensi, atensi, dan durasi menonton), dan kepercayaan diri (berpikir kritis, berpikir positif, kemampuan memecahkan masalah, dan komunikasi).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap karakteristik individu (ß = 0,312; p < 0,001), begitu pula dengan konsumsi konten edukasi karier yang juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan (ß = 0,595; p < 0,05). Dimensi kepercayaan diri yang paling dominan dipengaruhi adalah kemampuan memecahkan masalah, menunjukkan bahwa konten edukatif yang praktis dan relevan mampu meningkatkan kesiapan psikologis lulusan baru dalam menghadapi proses seleksi kerja.
Temuan ini mendukung teori pembelajaran sosial dari Bandura, serta Uses and Gratifications Theory, yang menjelaskan bagaimana individu aktif memilih media yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan informasional mereka. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa konten edukasi karier di TikTok dapat berfungsi sebagai bentuk pembelajaran nonformal yang efektif dan dapat memberikan dampak nyata terhadap kesiapan kerja dan pembangunan kepercayaan diri fresh graduate. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to analyze the influence of career education content on the TikTok account @vmuliana on the self-confidence of fresh graduates in facing the recruitment process. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of the increasing use of social media as a source of non-formal information, especially among the younger generation who are preparing to enter the workforce. TikTok, as a short video-based platform, has become a popular medium that not only provides entertainment, but also educational content, including in the field of career development. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis. The respondents of the study were 75 graduates of the Digital Communication and Media Study Program, IPB University Vocational School who had accessed or watched career education content from the TikTok account @vmuliana. The variables studied in this study consisted of individual characteristics (ability, personality, and learning), consumption of career education content (frequency, attention, and duration of viewing), and self-confidence (critical thinking, positive thinking, problem-solving skills, and communication). The results of the study showed that individual characteristics have a positive and significant influence on individual characteristics (ß = 0.312; p < 0.001), as well as the consumption of career education content which also has a positive and significant influence (ß = 0.595; p < 0.05). The most dominant dimension of self-confidence is problem-solving ability, indicating that practical and relevant educational content can improve the psychological readiness of new graduates in facing the job selection process. These findings support Bandura's social learning theory, as well as Uses and Gratifications Theory, which explains how individuals actively choose media that can meet their informational needs. This study confirms that career education content on TikTok can function as an effective form of non-formal learning and can have a real impact on the work readiness and self-confidence building of fresh graduates. | |
