dc.description.abstractPT XYZ menghadapi tantangan dalam mengendalikan dan menjaga konsistensi kualitas produk roll yang ditandai dengan tingginya tingkat roll cancelled. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi jenis defect yang paling dominan pada produk roll, (2) mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab defect, dan (3) mengusulkan dan menerapkan langkah-langkah perbaikan untuk mengoptimalkan kinerja operator dan mengurangi jumlah defect. Penelitian dilaksanakan di PT XYZ, Tangerang Selatan, selama periode Juli-Oktober 2024. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Six Sigma dengan tahapan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan telaah dokumen perusahaan. Analisis menggunakan control chart, pareto chart, fishbone chart, dan pendekatan 5W+1H. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah penurunan roll cancelled dan peningkatan kinerja operator. Implementasi KPI operator berhasil menurunkan defect dengan nilai efektivitas sebesar 1,84% serta meningkatkan level sigma dari 3,9 menjadi 4,0 sigma, dimana setara dengan standar rata-rata industri USA.
dc.description.abstractPT XYZ faces challenges in controlling and maintaining roll product quality consistency, marked by high roll cancelled rates. This research aims to: (1) identify the most dominant defect types in roll products, (2) identify defect causes, and (3) propose and implement improvement measures to optimize operator performance and reduce defects. The research was conducted at PT XYZ, South Tangerang, during July-October 2024. The research method used the Six Sigma approach with DMAIC stages (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Data was collected through observation, interviews, and company document reviews. Analysis used control charts, Pareto charts, fishbone charts, and the 5W+1H approach. Expected results include decreased roll cancelled rates and improved operator performance. The operator KPI implementation successfully reduced defects with 1,84% effectiveness value and increased the sigma level from 3,9 to 4,0 sigma, equivalent to USA industry average standards.
