dc.description.abstractCastanopsis argentea merupakan spesies pohon endemik dan dilindungi yang mengalami penurunan populasi akibat gangguan hutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Taman Nasional Gunung Ciremai yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola penyebaran C. argentea, karakteristik habitatnya, serta hubungan antara karakteristik lingkungan dengan pola penyebarannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis vegetasi, pengamatan parameter lingkungan, dan pengambilan sampel tanah dengan petak contoh dalam jalur transek pada dua zona ketinggian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pola penyebaran C. argentea di kedua lokasi penelitian cenderung mengelompok. Karakteristik lingkungan habitat C. argentea berada pada rentang suhu 20-22°C, kelembaban udara yang tinggi, serta pH tanah agak masam hingga netral. Jenis tanah memiliki bobot isi yang sedang, porositas baik, dan kadar bahan organik yang bervariasi. Hasil analisis korelasi Spearman menunjukkan bahwa faktor lingkungan yang paling signifikan memengaruhi kerapatan C. argentea adalah pH tanah dan suhu udara.
dc.description.abstractCastanopsis argentea is an endemic and protected tree species experiencing population decline due to forest disturbances. This study was conducted in Mount Ciremai National Park and aimed to analyzing the distribution pattern of C. argentea, its habitat characteristics, and the relationship between site conditions and its distribution. The methods used included vegetation analysis, observation of environmental parameters, and soil sampling using sample plots along transects in two elevation zones. The results showed that the distribution pattern of C. argentea in both study sites tends to be clumped. The environmental characteristics of C. argentea habitats were found within a temperature range of 20-22°C, high air humidity, and slightly acidic to neutral soil pH. The soil type exhibited moderate bulk density, good porosity, and varying levels of organic matter. Spearman correlation analysis indicated that the most significant environmental factors affecting C. argentea density were soil pH and air temperature.
