| dc.description.abstract | Salah satu hama yang dapat menurunkan produksi tanaman anggota famili Brassicaceae adalah Crocidolomia pavonana. Umumnya hama ini sering dikendalikan dengan insektisida sintetik yang salah satunya berbahan aktif profenofos yang termasuk golongan organofosfat. Salah satu dampak penggunaan insektisida yang kurang bijaksana adalah terjadinya resistensi hama. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari pengaruh konsentrasi subletal profenofos terhadap laju resistensi dan kebugaran C. pavonana. Pengujian yang dilakukan yaitu uji pendahuluan, uji lanjutan, induksi resistensi, dan uji konfirmasi dengan metode celup daun. Populasi awal diuji mortalitasnya untuk menentukan LC50 lalu untuk uji induksi resistensi dilakukan pada tiga generasi berikutnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LC50 populasi awal pada 24, 48, dan 72 jam setelah perlakuan (JSP) berturut-turut adalah 0,122; 0,055; dan 0,055 ml/l bahan aktif (b.a), sementara LC50 populasi akhir berturut-turut adalah 0,997; 0,757; dan 0,779 ml/l b.a. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan tingkat resistensi C. pavonana terhadap profenofos dengan nisbah resistensi 8,1; 13,7; dan 14,1 kali pada 24, 48 dan 72 JSP. Efek subletal dari profenofos memberikan pengaruh memperkecil 1,14 kali ukuran larva instar III dan memperlambat 1,58; 1,32; dan 1,19 kali perkembangan larva instar III, instar IV, dan pupa. Selain itu, dapat mempercepat 2,76 dan 1,67 kali perkembangan imago jantan dan betina, serta memengaruhi persentase peneluran imago betina. Penelitian ini menunjukkan status resistensi C. pavonana sehingga dapat dikembangkan strategi pengendalian yang efektif. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The production of Brassicaceae plants have decreased due to Crocidolomia pavonana infestation. The pest is often controlled with synthetic insecticides, namely profenofos belong to organophosphate group. The improper application of insecticides is able to cause resistance. This study aimed to investigate the effect of sublethal concentrations of profenofos insecticide on the resistance rate and fitness of C. pavonana. The test methods used were preliminary tests, induction of resistance, and confirmation tests with the leaf dip method. The initial population was tested for mortality to determine the LC50 for resistance induction for up to three generations. The results showed that the LC50 values of the initial population at 24, 48, and 72 hours after treatment (HAT) were 0.122, 0.055, and 0.055 ml/l active ingredient (a.i), respectively, while the LC50 values of the final population at 24, 48, and 72 HAT were 0.997, 0.757, and 0.779 ml/l a.i, respectively. The results showed an increase in the rate of resistance so that the C. pavonana population was resistant to profenofos with resistance ratio 8.1, 13.7, and 14.1 times at 24, 48, and 72 HAT. Sublethal effect of profenofos reduced the size of third instar larvae by 1.14 times, slowed down the development of third and fourth instar larvae, and pupae by 1.58, 1.32, and 1.19 times. Moreover, accelerating the development of male and female adults by 2.76 and 1.67 times and affecting the egg-laying percentage of female adults. This research demonstrated the resistance status of C.
pavonana, therefore effective control strategies can be developed. | |
