      Abstract

The price of artificial feed is relatively expensive so it is necessary to find an alternative to make cheap and good quality artificial feed. Leaves are one of the alternative feed ingredients for fish feed that have a fairly high crude fiber content and need to be fermented to reduce the crude fiber content. This study aims to determine the best dose of fermented cassava leaf flour in artificial feed on carp production through a study of survival and growth. This study used a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 3 replications, namely commercial feed without the addition of fermented cassava leaf flour, the addition of 10% fermented cassava leaf flour, and the addition of 17% fermented cassava leaf flour. The fish used were 10 g carp with a length of 8–10 cm. The experimental unit container was a net measuring 2 × 1 × 1 m3 which was attached to a 40 × 5 × 1 m3 earthen pond with a water height of 80 cm. The results of the study stated that the addition of fermented cassava leaf flour to the feed had an effect on survival, specific growth, and absolute growth. The best results were obtained by adding 10% fermented cassava leaf flour. Key words: carp Cyprinus Carpio, fermented cassava leaf flour.
