      Performa Warna Ikan Cupang (Betta splendens) Melalui Pengkayaan Tepung Kepala Udang Pada Pakan Komersial

      Abstract
      Ikan cupang Betta splendens merupakan ikan hias yang memiliki jenis yang beraneka ragam. Warna merupakan salah satu faktor yang menentukan nilai jual bagi ikan hias utamanya ikan cupang. Proses pemeliharaan ikan cupang seringkali mengalami masalah dalam penurunan kualitas warnanya. Upaya peningkatan kualitas warna yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan pengkayaan pakan menggunakan bahan yang kaya akan zat pigmen salah satunya tepung kepala udang (TKU) yang mengandung karotenoid. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan performa warna dengan menambahkan tepung kepala udang dengan dosis tertentu pada pakan komersial. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan kontrol, TKU 5%, TKU 10%, dan TKU 15% dalam tiga ulangan. Prosedur penelitian mencakup penyiapan tepung kepala udang, pembuatan pakan uji, pemeliharaan ikan, dan pengamatan parameter seperti perubahan kecerahan warna, pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang, tingkat kelangsungan hidup, serta kualitas air. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dosis TKU terbaik untuk peningkatan warna adalah 10%.
       
      The Betta splendens betta fish is an ornamental fish that has various types. Color is one of the factors that determines the selling value of ornamental fish, especially betta fish. The process of keeping Betta fish often experiences problems in reducing the quality of their color. Efforts to improve color quality that can be done are by enriching feed using ingredients rich in pigments, one of which is shrimp head meal (TKU) which contains carotenoids. This research aims to improve color performance by adding shrimp head flour at a certain dose to commercial feed. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with control treatment, 5% TKU, 10% TKU, and 15% TKU in three replications. Research procedures include preparing shrimp head meal, making test feed, raising fish, and observing parameters such as changes in color brightness, growth in weight and length, survival rate, and water quality. The results showed that the best TKU dose for color enhancement was 10%.
