dc.description.abstractKendala budi daya udang vaname dengan kepadatan tinggi adalah terkait kualitas air. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik terhadap kualitas air dan populasi bakteri di tambak udang PT Indo Karya Vaname, Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari persiapan wadah, pemeliharaan benur, aplikasi probiotik, pengelolaan kualitas air, sebaran bakteri dan sintasan. Kegiatan ini menghasilkan data kualitas air, sebaran bakteri dan sintasan yang optimal pada kolam perlakuan dengan suhu berkisar 28,9–3,0°C, salinitas berkisar 36,0–45,0 g/L, pH berkisar 7,5–8,2, DO berkisar 4,2–6,9 mg/L dan amonia berkisar 0,25–1 mg/L. Sebaran bakteri yaitu jumlah vibrio (TVC) kurang dari 103 CFU/mL, jumlah total bakteri (TBC) lebih dari 103 CFU/mL dan sintasan sebesar 90%. Aplikasi probiotik yang digunakan selama pemeliharaan mampu menjaga kualitas air khususnya amonia dan mampu menurunkan total bakteri Vibrio sp. serta meningkatkan nilai total bakteri pada perairan tambak.
dc.description.abstractThe obstacle to cultivating Pacific Whiteleg shrimp at high density is related to water quality management. The study aimed to determine the effect of probiotics on water quality and bacterial populations in PT Indo Karya Shrimp ponds, East Java. The methods used include pond preparation, seed maintenance, application of probiotics, air quality management, bacterial distribution, and survival. This activity produces data on air quality, bacterial distribution and optimal survival in pond treatments with temperatures around 28,9–3,0°C, salinity around 36,0–45,0 g/L, pH around 7,5–8,2, DO ranges from 4,2–6,9 mg/L and ammonia ranges from 0,25–1 mg/L. The number of vibrios (TVC) less than 103 CFU/mL, total number of bacteria (TBC) more than 103 CFU/mL, and shrimp survival was 90%. The use of probiotic during maintenance can maintain water quality, especially ammonia, and reduce the total number of Vibrio sp. and increasing the total number of bacteria in pond water.
