Abstract

Litopenaeus vannamei dengan Metode Pengapuran. Dibimbing oleh AMALIA

Vaname merupakan salah satu jenis udang yang sering dibudidayakan. Salah
satunya karena udang vaname ini lebih tahan terhadap penyakit dibanding udang
putih lainnya dan mempunyai toleransi yang lebar terhadap kondisi lingkungan.
Udang vaname berkontribusi cukup besar bagi ekonomi perikanan nasional. Tugas
akhir ini bertujuan untuk melakukan dan menganalisis aplikasi kapur dan metode
pengapuran terhadap parameter kualitas air dan pertumbuhan dalam pemeliharaan
udang vaname Litopenaeus vannamei di Tambak, Dewi Laut Aquaculture, Garut.
Lokasi dipilih karena perusahaan menerapkan teknologi yang modern, riset yang
terus dikembangkan, serta mempunyai visi misi untuk menciptakan solusi inovatif
dan berkelanjutan dalam industri budidaya udang. Metode pemberian kapur
dilakukan dengan cara perendaman kapur selama 12 jam sebelum kemudian ditebar
dalam wadah budidaya. Parameter yang diukur meliputi parameter kualitas air dan
pertumbuhan. Parameter kualitas air mencakup parameter fisika seperti suhu,
parameter kimia yang meliputi pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), total ammonia nitrogen
(TAN), total alkalinitas, dan total organic matter (TOM), serta parameter biologi
yang meliputi total bacteria count (TBC), total vibrio count (TVC), dan total
fitoplankton. Nilai parameter masih dibawah standar baku mutu dimana nilai suhu
terendah di angka 24?, fluktuasi pH lebih dari 1, nilai DO terendah di angka 3
ppm, nilai TOM terendah di angka 80, nilai alkalinitas tertinggi 269 ppm, nilai TAN
tertinggi di angka 2,6 ppm, dan persentase nilai TBC dan TVC tertinggi di angka
25%. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan metode pemberian kapur dengan cara

Vaname shrimp is one of the most commonly cultured shrimp species. This is
primarily because vaname shrimp are more resistant to diseases compared to other
white shrimp species and have a wide tolerance for environmental conditions.
Vaname shrimp contribute significantly to the national fisheries economy. This
final project aims to conduct and analyze the application of lime and liming
methods on water quality parameters and growth in the cultivation of Litopenaeus
vannamei vaname shrimp at the Dewi Laut Aquaculture Farm in Garut. The
location was chosen because the company implements modern technology,
conducts ongoing research, and has a vision and mission to create innovative and
sustainable solutions in the shrimp farming industry. The method of applying lime
was done by soaking the lime for 12 hours before it was then spread in the culture
container. The parameters measured included water quality parameters and growth.
Water quality parameters include physical parameters such as temperature,
chemical parameters including pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), total ammonia nitrogen
(TAN), total alkalinity, and total organic matter (TOM), and biological parameters
including total bacteria count (TBC), total vibrio count (TVC), and total
phytoplankton. The parameter values were still below the standard quality criteria
where the lowest temperature value was 24?, pH fluctuation was more than 1, the
lowest DO value was 3 ppm, the lowest TOM value was 80, the highest alkalinity
value was 269 ppm, the highest TAN value was 2.6 ppm, and the highest percentage
of TBC and TVC values was 25%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the method
of applying lime by soaking for 12 hours is not effective.
