Analisis Aspek Director of Photography dalam Menciptakan Visualisasi pada Film Semi Dokumenter “Imba Rasagama”

Abstract

Media merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam proses komunikasi. Media sering disebut sebagai sarana untuk penyampaikan pesan dari komunikator kepada komunikan. Film merupakan salah satu media penyampaian pesan kepada masyarakat luas. Seiring perkembangan zaman film mengalami perkembangan dengan banyaknya jenisnya, salah satunya film dokumenter. Pembuatan film pastinya memiliki beberapa kru yang berperan di dalam proses produksinya. Director of Photography memiliki tugas untuk menciptakan visual. Proses visualisasi yang dilakukan oleh DoP tentunya memiliki prosesnya tersendiri di tahap produksi sebuah film. Film semi dokumenter “Imba Rasagama” juga menerapkan peran dari seorang DoP untuk menciptakan visual agar penonton tidak bosan dalam menonton film ini. Proses yang dilalui oleh seorang DoP dalam membuat visual film semi dokumenter “Imba Rasagama” ada di setiap tahap produksi mulai dari Pra-Produksi, Produksi, dan Pasca-produksi. hal-hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam menciptakan visual dalam pembuatan film ini adalah penerapan teknik sinematografi, dan juga teknik pencahayaan pada saat produksinya. DoP atau sinematografer dalam film ini sangat vital, karena mempunyai peranan pada setiap tahapan produksi.
