      Abstract
      The advancing times have significantly impacted various industries, including advertising, which has become a mainstay in Indonesia. Consequently, there's a growing need for directors to enhance their skills and techniques to create high-quality, attention-grabbing work. Directorial skills are crucial in ensuring advertisements achieve their artistic and commercial targets. Directors play a pivotal role in visualizing scripts into vibrant ads, utilizing cinematographic techniques such as camera angles, lighting, and the Five Cs (camera, cutting, close-up, continuity, composition). This report aims to elucidate the director's role in ad production and the application of these techniques to achieve compelling and effective advertisements in today's dynamic market.
       
      Perkembangan industri periklanan di Indonesia menggarisbawahi pentingnya pengembangan keterampilan sutradara. Mereka bertanggung jawab memvisualisasikan naskah menjadi iklan yang menarik dengan memanfaatkan teknik sinematografi, seperti pengaturan kamera dan pencahayaan. Peran ini krusial untuk mencapai tujuan artistik dan komersial dalam produksi iklan. Teknik Five C (camera, cutting, close-up, continuity, dan composition) menjadi landasan untuk menciptakan karya yang berkualitas dan memikat penonton. Dengan demikian, laporan ini bertujuan menjelaskan bagaimana keterampilan sutradara dan penerapan teknik ini berperan dalam kesuksesan iklan modern.
