      Abstract

Diseases in animals can be caused by problems with the cleanliness of cages in which various gases, such as NH3 and CO2. Therefore, it is necessary to implement IoT to measure NH3 and CO2 gas levels which will make it easier to monitor gas levels in the cage. This research was conducted at the URR SKHB IPB and used the stages of needs identification, design, implementation and testing. In this research, the hardware used was ESP32, MICS-6814, MICS-4514, BME-680, and MH-Z19. With various types of sensors, testing is needed to compare their accuracy. Testing was carried out for six days and carried out in two stages, namely calibration and accuracy measurement. After that, data from one day of testing was taken which was considered the most complete before and after calibration, then a scatter plot was made to get the regression equation and correlation. However, it turns out that NH3 cannot be used as a measure of the cleanliness of a horse stable because the URR horse stable is very clean. MH-Z19 can be used for measuring CO2 gas because its accuracy is 96 ± 3% after calibration. BME-680 cannot measure CO2 and PM2.5 gases because the correlation is very small.
