      Perbedaan Karakteristik Mikroklimat Kandang Memengaruhi Nilai Fisiologis Sapi Potong di Terbanggi Besar, Lampung Tengah

      Abstract
      Penelitian bertujuan untuk mempelajari respon fisiologis sapi potong terhadap perbedaan karakteristik mikroklimat kandang di Kecamatan Terbanggi Besar, Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Sepuluh ekor sapi potong, masing-masing lima ekor berada pada dua kandang yang berbeda. Kandang A berada di lingkungan terbuka-hijau dengan ketinggian kandang 4 meter, sedangkan kandang B berada di lingkungan pemukiman dengan ketinggian kandang 3 meter. Pengukuran profil mikroklimat dilakukan tiga kali sehari, sedangkan pengukuran nilai fisiologis (suhu rektal, frekuensi denyut jantung dan pernapasan) dilakukan dua kali sehari. Pengukuran pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH) dilakukan untuk mengetahui produktivitas sapi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kondisi mikroklimat kandang A memiliki suhu, kelembapan, THI, dan ammonia yang lebih rendah, serta kecepatan angin yang tinggi dibanding dengan kandang B. Hal ini berimplikasi terhadap nilai fisiologis maupun produktivitas sapi pada kandang A yang lebih baik dibanding sapi pada kandang B.       The research aimed to study the physiological response of beef cattle to different microclimatic characteristics of cages in Terbanggi Besar, Central Lampung District. Ten beef cattle, five each, were placed in two different pens. Cage A was in an open-green environment with an enclosure height of 4 meters, while cage B was in a residential environment with an enclosure height of 3 meters. Microclimate profile measurements were taken three times a day, while physiological values (rectal temperature, heart rate and respiratory frequency) were taken twice a day. Daily body weight gain (PBBH) measurements were taken to determine cattle productivity. This study showed that the microclimate conditions of cage A had lower temperature, humidity, THI, and ammonia, as well as higher wind speed compared to cage B.
