dc.description.abstractKecacingan pada kuda merupakan satu di antara beberapa faktor yang dapat memengaruhi produktivitas serta performa kuda. Penelitian mengenai kecacingan pada kuda atlet di Bogor belum banyak dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis cacing parasit serta mengukur prevalensi dan derajat kecacingan pada kuda atlet di satu stable di Kecamatan Cibinong, Kabupaten Bogor, Jawa Barat. Sebanyak 41 sampel feses dikumpulkan dan diperiksa menggunakan metode flotasi sederhana, filtrasi bertingkat, dan McMaster. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 41 (100%) kuda atlet yang diteliti terinfeksi hanya oleh jenis cacing nematoda strongylida dengan derajat infeksi rendah sampai tinggi. Tidak ada kuda yang terinfeksi oleh cacing dari kelompok trematoda maupun cestoda. Sebagian besar kuda terinfeksi dengan derajat infeksi sedang yaitu sebesar 48,78%. dc.description.abstractHelminthiasis in horse is one of several factors that can affect horse productivity and performance. The research on helminthiasis in sport horses in Bogor was very limited. This study aimed to identify the types of parasitic helminth and measure the prevalence and degree of helminthiasis in horses at a stable in Cibinong district, Bogor Regency, West Java. A total of 41 fecal samples were collected and examined using sample flotation, multistage filtration, and McMaster methods. The results showed that 41 (100%) horses were infected by only strongyle nematode species with low to high infection rates. No horses were infected with worms from the trematode or cestode groups. Most horses were infected with a moderate degree of infection at 48.78%.
