| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the research was to develop an optimization model, which is able to optimize transponder capacity based on their parameters, namely: gain flatness, bandwidth, linearity of amplifier, power flux density and characteristic of ground segment. The characteristic as a function of antenna diameter, power transmit, modulation, and forward error correction code rate. The genetic algorithm optimizer have been developed, was able to find 8.88% higher cumulative data rate (capacity) than conventional one. Also, it can prove that the impact of gain flatness is reducing (1.71%) the capacity of transponder. This system needs a uniform antenna diameter of earth stations. The larger antenna of earth station, the higher capacity of transponder. For coming research, it is suggested to design a system that has an un-uniform diameter antenna of earth station, and to optimize the power of transmitter and figure of merit to support the optimal transponder capacity. | id |
