dc.description.abstractHutan memiliki peran sekuestrasi dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim, karena hutan dapat menyerap emisi gas rumah kaca dalam bentuk biomassa tegakan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini mempraktikkan pengelolaan untuk meningkatkan sekuestrasi karbon dan menduga besarnya sekuestrasi karbon di Desa Karangrejo, Kabupaten Ngawi. Jawa Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data pengelolaan menggunakan sensus, sedangkan dalam penentuan lokasi penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 30 plot berdasarkan bentang lahan dan praktik pengelolaan selama 5 tahun terakhir. Kemampuan sekuestrasi dan cadangan karbon dipengaruhi oleh kerapatan tegakan, formasi jenis tanaman dan kesesuaian tempat tumbuh. Kemampuan sekuestrasi karbon di Desa Karangrejo, Kabupaten Ngawi memiliki rata - rata serapan sebesar 13,46 tonCO₂/ha/tahun dengan kemampuan sekuestrasi karbon pada kelas lereng datar, bergelombang, berbukit berturut - turut sebesar 11,09 tonCO₂/ha/tahun, 14,15 tonCO₂/ha/tahun dan 16,45 tonCO₂/ha/tahun.id
dc.description.abstractThe forest plays a crucial role in climate change mitigation by sequestering greenhouse gas emissions through biomass absorption. The objective of this research is to implement management practices to enhance carbon sequestration and estimate the magnitude of carbon storage in Karangrejo Village, Ngawi Regency, East Java. The method used for data collection in management practices involved a census, while the determination of research locations utilized purposive sampling techniques on 30 plots based on land topography and management practices over the previous 5 years. The ability of carbon sequestration and reserves was influenced by stand density, plant species formation, and site suitability. The carbon sequestration capability in Karangrejo Village, Ngawi Regency, averaged 13.46 tons of CO₂/ha/year, with carbon sequestration capabilities on flat, undulating, and hilly slopes was 11.09 tons of CO₂/ha/year, 14.15 tons of CO₂/ha/year, and 16.45 tons of CO₂/ha/year, respectively.id
