Modeling of tumor cells dynamics in a therapy with oncolytic virus.
Abstract
It is widely believed that virus is a major cause of many diseases. However, recent studies have shown that some viruses have anti-tumor ability, so that they can be used for metastatic tumor treatment. One of these anti-tumor viruses is oncolytic virus. The virus is important in the treatment of tumor cells, because it can infect and break the tumor cells without damaging the normal cells. Interactions between tumors and oncolytic viruses are very complex and nonlinear. Healing tumor cells with oncolytic virus can be modeled mathematically, which describes an interaction between the tumor cells infected with oncolytic virus and the other tumor cells that are not infected. In this work the above interaction model will be discussed. The model depends on some parameters. It has been shown that different parameter values will generate different behaviors of the tumor cells.
