Forest yield regulation had been a main activity that should be performed prior to forest management for preserving sustained yield. During establishment of yield regulation, there is a need to get a realistic (up-to-date) standing stock from the forest area being managed. Now, the forest area managed by Perum Perhutani are suffering from forest encroachment, illegal cutting, forest fire, forest conversion, etc. These may cause that the total standing stock decrease significantly. In this condition, if the allowable cut does not be corrected, then it could be overcutting. Nowadays, remote sensing technology can be one alternatif way to get accurate and complete information quickly. It can be used to provide a reliable standing stock information. IKONOS is one of natural resources satellite with high spatial resolution which is suitable for detailed and accurate application. Using this remote sensing technology, a correction of data derived from terrestrial inventory can be made providing better standing stock estimation. Finally, it can be used to revise forest yield regulation in Perhutani. The objectives of this study are to use IKONOS image for determining sum both the volume and acreages of allowable cut based on IKONOS image information. To support the study, the data used include IKONOS image that acquared in 2006, thematic digital data, forest inventaritation report, and data of Sustainable Forest Regulation Plan. The study was performed during Juny 2008 in Bancar Forest Division, Jatirogo Forest District Administration Perum Perhutani Unit II East Java. The hardware is personal computer and softwares are Erdas Imagine 9.1, Arc View 3.2, and Stella Research 8. Forest yield regulation model performed in this study consisted of three sub-models i.e (1) dynamic of standing extensive sub-model, (2) number of tree dynamic sub-model and (3) yield regulation sub-model. The study shows that allowable cut in 2006 are 4448 cubic and 49,18 hectare. Based on the information derived from IKONOS, the allowable cut for volume is 4390,28 cubic while the allowable for acreages is 43,06 hectare. The IKONOS based acreages are 6,12 hectare lesser than those obtained from static regulation, or approximately 57,72 cubic.id
