      Persepsi Pengunjung terhadap Potensi Pengembangan Eco-edutourism di Pusat Suaka Satwa Elang Jawa

      Abstract
      Pusat Suaka Satwa Elang Jawa (PSSEJ) terkenal sebagai suatu kawasan yang digunakan untuk wisata alam, salah satunya wisata alam berbasis pendidikan (eco-edutourism) yang dapat dikembangkan untuk menarik minat masyarakat luas, dan tempat rehabilitasi burung elang hasil penyitaan atau serahan dari masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi pengembangan, persepsi pengunjung, dan rencana pengembangan program eco-edutourism. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur, wawancara dengan panduan wawancara dan kuesioner, serta observasi lapang. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik dan persepsi responden, serta uji Chi-Square untuk melihat hubungan antara karakteristik pengunjung dengan persepsi. Penelitian ini mendapatkan 35 individu burung elang, 15 jenis tumbuhan, dan 15 jenis satwa. Potensi fasilitas kawasan adalah akses, papan interpretasi, dan sarana prasarana. Persepsi pengunjung mengenai keempat komponen pernyataan memberikan persentase setuju rata-rata di atas 50%. Hal tersebut menandakan cenderung tergolong baik. Rencana pengembangan program eco-edutourism dipilih melalui pendekatan supply. Keseluruhan konsep terkait program maupun kawasan disediakan oleh pihak pengelola PSSEJ.
       
      Pusat Suaka Satwa Elang Jawa (PSSEJ) is known as an area used for natural tourism, educational nature-based tourism (eco-edutourism) that can be developed to attract public interest. This institution also serves as a place to rehabilitate eagles confiscated from or surrendered by the community. This study aimed to identify the potential development of eco-edutourism, visitor perception, and to design eco-edutourism programs. Methods used were literature studies, field observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis to identify the characteristics and perception of respondents, and Chi-Square test to determine the relationship between respondents’ characteristics and their perception. The study found 35 individuals of eagle, 15 plant species, and 15 animal species. The potential facilities included access, interpretation board, and supporting infrastructure. The result of the study showed that the visitor perception of four components of the statements had the average percentage of approval above 50%, which indicated a positive perception. The development plan of eco-edutourism program was selected through the supply approach. The whole concept related to the program and the area was provided by the management PSSEJ.
