Evaluasi Kenyamanan Termal Ruang Terbuka Hijau Kota Pekalongan Menggunakan Pendekatan Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET)
Abstract
The existence of green open spaces in urban areas is very important to reduce enviromental temperature and effect the level of thermal comfort in a city. This study aims to determine the level of thermal comfort in the green open space of Mataram Field, Pekalongan City. The method used is the Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET) approach. The calculation of the comfort value is divided into two, namely observation measurements and interviews with respondents with running, walking and sitting activities. Measurement observations were made at 18 points in the Mataram Field which were differentiated based on their crown cover density. Canopy cover density is sorted based on the sky view factor and is divided into three, namely dense canopy shade, moderate canopy shade, and sparse canopy shade. The measurement results state that the best time to visit the Mataram Field based on the PET value is in the afternoon with a PET of 27 ⁰C-28 ⁰C. Thermal comfort in dense canopy cover is better than in moderate and sparse canopy. Based on the respondent's questionnaire, not all of the respondents' PET values fall into the Taiwan PET range. Based on respondent’s quistionnaire with running, sitting and walking activities, more than 75% of respondents felt ‘comfortable’ on PET in a row 29.9 ⁰C; 27.8 ⁰C; 32.7 ⁰C, more than 75% of respondents felt ‘warm’ on PET in a row 30.5 ⁰C; 31.7 ⁰C; 33.4 ⁰C and more than 75% of respondents felt ‘heat’ on PET successively 31.2 ⁰C; 34.2 ⁰C; 36.1 ⁰C. Not all of the PET respondent’s mean values fall into the range of Taiwanese PET.
