dc.description.abstractBentuk dan ukuran unit contoh merupakan salah satu kompenen penting dalam metode penarikan contoh tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendapatkan bentuk dan ukuran unit contoh yang sesuai untuk menduga potensi tegakan hutan rakyat dengan luasan kecil (< 5 ha). Metode systematic sampling with random start diujicobakan pada bentuk unit contoh berbeda yaitu, plot persegi (20 m × 20 m), plot lingkaran (0,02 ha, 0,04 ha, 0,1 ha), dan plot jumlah pohon (6, 8, dan 10 pohon) menggunakan intensitas sampling 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa plot contoh lingkaran dengan luas 0,02 ha merupakan unit contoh terbaik dalam menduga kerapatan, luas bidang dasar, dan volume tegakan dengan metode systematic sampling with random start. Berdasarkan hasil perbandingan ketelitian pendugaan dengan bentuk unit contoh lain, plot lingkaran 0,02 ha memiliki selang pendugaan dan ketelitian tertinggi. Pendugaan potensi tegakan hutan rakyat dengan luasan kecil dapat menggunakan plot contoh lingkaran 0,02 ha dengan metode systematic sampling with random start.id
dc.description.abstractThe shape and size of the sample unit are important components of the sampling method. This study aims to obtain the shape and size of sample units that are suitable for estimating the potential of smallholder forest stands (5 ha). The systematic sampling method with random start was tested on different sample units, namely, square plots (20 m x 20 m), circle plots (0.02 ha, 0.04 ha, and 0.1 ha), and tree number plots (6, 8, and 10 trees) using a sampling intensity of 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. The results showed that the circular sample plot with an area of 0.02 ha was the best sample unit for estimating density, basal area, and stand volume based on the systematic sampling method with a random start. Based on the results of a comparison of the accuracy of the estimation with other sample unit forms, the circle plot of 0.02 ha has the highest estimation interval and accuracy. Estimating the potential of community forest stands with a small area can be done using a circular sample plot of 0.02 ha with a systematic sampling method with a random start.id
