| dc.description.abstract | One of the most important components of a Cadastral Information System is an accurate map delineating land parcel ownership. Many states have strict requirements for this mapping, as an accurate cadastral map is commonly a primary tool in the assessment of land values for tax purposes, soil type and land use for land use planning. The access to cadastral information is very important because the information has to serve spatial planning, urban and rural planning and development, land taxation and management of natural resources.
The objectives of this research are to produce the cadastral map by using high-resolution satellite image and to build cadastral information system to give information on Land use planning, land registration, text department, and public user.
In this research, IKONOS images are used for data acquisition. The core process workflows involved in this step are image processing, image interpretation and digitizing, and ground truth and accuracy assessment. Image process stage consists of geocoding and image enhancement. Geo-relational database management system is used for the cadastral information system. Spatial data are stored in shape file format and attribute data are stored in relational database management system. Relational database management stage consists of three-layer architecture as conceptual design, logical design, and physical design.
The result of his research shows the every step of data acquisition and spatial database management and the implementation of the cadastral information system. The system provides spatial information and attribute information such as Ownership, land use, soil type, and tax value.
The method of cadastral mapping can be used to produce large-scale map for the cadastral information system. But it was still needed to use ground- surveying method. Cadastral information system can be used for the stand-alone computer for querying data, updating data, and adding new data. | id |
