Mangrove forest restoration is an effort to restore damaged areas. One of the mangrove areas that must be restored is the mangrove forest area in the Rambut Island Wildlife Reserve (RIWR). RIWR's mangrove forest has an area of around 14,31 ha with a research location of 2,14 ha in the western RIWR. This study aims to map the location and area of mangrove forests that need to be restored, determine the type of mangrove, and the suitable planting technique in the restoration area. Data analysis was carried out by vegetation analysis the location that needed to be restored, species-site matching, and the planting technique. Based on the results, the area requiring restoration measures is around 0,37 ha. The recommended mangrove species are Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Ceriops tagal, Ceriops decandra, Heritiera littoralis, and Xylocarpus granatum in plots number 5, 13, 20, 28, 33, 50, 64, 65, 73; and Avicennia alba, Avicennia officinalis, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, Rhizophora apiculata, and Sonneratia alba in plot number 7. The planting technique that can be applied to all restoration plots is the cemplongan technique, except plot number 7 is the bronjong technique.id
