      Karakteristik Flooring Bambu sebagai Substitusi Kayu Solid

      Abstract
      Bambu sebagai substitusi bahan baku flooring sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan karena umumnya flooring terbuat dari kayu solid atau jenis kayu keras, yang memiliki kualitas tinggi tetapi ketersediaanya terbatas. Bambu dipilih dalam industri pengolahan kayu khususnya papan laminasi dikarenakan corak yang khas dan mengkilap, serta memiliki keluatan yang cukup tinggi. Dalam studi ini flooring dari bambu Indonesia diuji mengacu pada standar ISO 21629-1 bamboo flooring for indoor use, dan diharapkan mampu memberi rekomendasi penyusunan SNI untuk flooring bamboo. Pengujian meliputi modulus of elasticity (MOE), modulus of rupture (MOR), stain resist, adhesion test, abrassion test, dan hardness by pencil test. Formulasi susunan vertikal dengan 3 lapis coating secara keseluruhan mendapat nilai rata-rata paling baik dalam penelitian ini dengan nilai kadar air 12,8%, kerapatan 0,66 g/cm3, MOE 162.603 kg/cm2, MOR 1259.331 kg/cm2, adhesion test 2-4B, abrasion test 0,1149 g, hardness by pencil test 2-4H dibandingkan dengan formulasi lain dan flooring jati sebagai nilai kontrol. Inovasi produk bambu ini diharapkan dapat diproduksi secara komersial dengan sifat yang baik dan dapat dijadikan sebagai standar acuan dalam pembuatan SNI flooring bambu.       Bamboo as a substitute for flooring raw materials is very potential to be developed because generally flooring is made of solid wood or other types of hardwood which have high quality but limited availability. Bamboo is chosen in the wood processing industry, especially laminated board because of its distinctive and shiny pattern, and has a fairly high density. In this study, flooring from Indonesian bamboo was made by referring to the ISO 21629-1 bamboo flooring standard for indoor use, and is expected to be able to provide recommendations for the preparation of SNI for bamboo flooring. The tests include the Modulus of Elasticity (MOE), Modulus of Rupture (MOR), Stain resist, Adhesion Test, Abrasion Test, and Hardness by Pencil Test. The vertical arrangement formulation with 3 layers of coating overall got the best average score in this study with an value moisture content 12,8%, density 0,66 g/cm3, MOE 162,603 kg/cm2, MOR 1259,331 kg/cm2, adhesion test 2-4B, Abrasion Test 0.1149 g , Hardness by Pencil test 2-4H compared to other formulations and teak flooring as a control. This bamboo product innovation is expected to be produced commercially and with good characteristics and can be used as a reference standard in making Indonesian standart of bamboo flooring.
