Kondisi Pasar Kayu Lapis Dunia dan Indonesia Periode 2010-2020
Abstract
konsumsi kayu lapis dunia meningkat sepanjang 2010-2020.
Impor kayu lapis Indonesia
menurun drastis sebesar 95%. Faktor yang mempengaruhi pasar kayu lapis adalah
populasi, pertumbuhan ekonomi, sertifikasi produk, adaptasi teknologi dan
kebijakan perdagangan kayu lapis. Indonesia's plywood industry developed rapidly in the period 1980-1997.
since the enactment of the policy of banning the export of logs. The monetary crisis
in Asia that also hit Indonesia in July 1997 caused the Indonesian plywood industry
to decline which lasted in the period 1998-2009, while the world plywood trend
experienced rapid development in the same period marked by a significant increase
in world plywood consumption. This study is to describe the condition of world and
Indonesia plywood markets. This study used a qualitative descriptive analysis. The
results showed that the world’s plywood production, exports, imports, and
consumption were increased during the period 2010-2020. The world’s plywood
production, exports, and consumption are led by China with 58%, 36%, and 50.8%.
India became countries with significant increase in consumption of 160%. However,
Indonesia still has an important role in the world plywood market as the largest
exporter after China with a percentage of 10%. The main destination for Indonesia’s
plywood exports are Japan, China, USA, and South Korea. Indonesia's plywood
imports dropped dramatically by 95%. Factors affecting the world plywood market
are population, economic growth, and policies related to the principle of
sustainability.
