      Perbaikan Sifat Kimia Tanah Gambut Dengan Aplikasi Fly Ash Dan Pengaruhnya Terhadap Tanaman Sorgum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench)

      Abstract
      Fly ash merupakan abu dari batu bara yang banyak mengandung unsur-unsur seperti Ca, K, dan Na disamping juga mengandung sejumlah kecil unsur C dan N. Fly ash dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan ameliorasi pada tanah gambut. Tanaman indikator yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tanaman sorgum. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian fly ash terhadap perbaikan beberapa sifat kimia tanah gambut dan pertumbuhan tanaman sorgum. Percobaan pot dilakukan di rumah kaca menggunakan percobaan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan faktor tunggal yaitu fly ash dengan 5 taraf perlakuan dan dilakukan 5 kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 25 satuan percobaan. Taraf fly ash yang diberikan setara dengan 0 ton/ha (F0), 5 ton/ha (F1), 10 ton/ha (F2), 15 ton/ha (F3) dan 20 ton/ha (F4). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian fly ash pada tanah gambut menurunkan kemasaman tanah dan meningkatkan kadar Ca-dd, Mg-dd, Na-dd dan P-tersedia, serta dapat memperbaiki pertumbuhan tanaman. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa fly ash sampai dosis 15 ton/ha dapat dijadikan sebagai amelioran tanah gambut.
       
      Fly ash is ash from coal which contains a lot of elements such as Ca, K, and Na in addition to containing small amounts of C and N elements. Fly ash can be used as an ameliorating material on peat soils. The indicator plant used in this study was sorghum. This study aimed to determine the effect of fly ash on the improvement of some chemical properties of peat soil and the growth of sorghum plants. The pot experiment was carried out in a greenhouse using a completely randomized design experiment (CRD) with a single factor, namely fly ash, with five treatment levels and 5 replications, so there were 25 experimental units. Level fly ash provided is equivalent to 0 tons/ha (F0), 5 tons/ha (F1), 10 tons/ha (F2), 15 tons/ha (F3) and 20 tons/ha (F4). The experimental results showed that applying fly ash on peat soil decreased soil acidity and increased exchangeable Ca, Mg, Na, and available P levels. improving plant growth. This shows that fly ash up to a dose of 15 tons/ha can be used to ameliorate peat soil.
