dc.description.abstractForest stands have an important role in the absorption of carbon through photosynthesis so that carbon is stored in the body of plants. Since 1950 KPH Kedu Selatan planted nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum) in the south of Purworejo Regency, until 2022 it has grown into a mixed forest. This study purposed to determine the composition of vegetation types and structures, carbon storage, and CO2 uptake in lowland forests RPH Loano, BKPH Purworejo. Data collection using non-destructive methods in three different places there is side by side with the chicken farm (plot 1), a vaname shrimp pond (plot 2), and residential areas (plot 3). The composition of the types and the number of types are found at most in plot 1. Swietenia mahagoni was the highest significant value index (INP) value of each plot and each growth rate. The highest value of diversity index, species richness, and evenness type in plot 1 tree growth rate, while the dominance in plot 3 tree growth rate. Average biomass, carbon storage, and CO2 uptake respectively 204,35 tons; 96,05 tons C ha-1; 352,49 tons CO2 eq ha-1. Species composition and abiotic environmental conditions affect carbon deposits.id
dc.description.abstractTegakan hutan memiliki peran penting dalam penyerapan karbon melalui fotosintesis, sehingga karbon tersimpan dalam tubuh tumbuhan. Sejak 1950 KPH Kedu Selatan menanam nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum) di selatan Kabupaten Purworejo, hingga 2022 tumbuh menjadi hutan rimba campuran. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui komposisi jenis dan struktur vegetasi, keadaan biomassa, simpanan karbon, dan serapan CO2, serta pengaruh lingkungan di bawah tegakan hutan dataran rendah RPH Loano, BKPH Purworejo, KPH Kedu Selatan terhadap nilai simpanan karbon hutan. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode non destructive pada tiga tempat berbeda yaitu berdampingan dengan peternakan ayam (plot 1), tambak udang vaname (plot 2), dan pemukiman penduduk (plot 3). Komposisi jenis dan jumlah jenis ditemukan paling banyak plot 1. Swietenia mahagoni memiliki nilai Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) tertinggi tiap plot dan tiap tingkat pertumbuhan. Nilai tertinggi indeks keanekaragaman jenis, kekayaan jenis, dan kemerataan jenis dimiliki oleh tingkat pohon di plot 1, sedangkan indeks dominansi di plot 3. Rata-rata biomassa, simpanan karbon, dan serapan CO2 berturut-turut 204,35 ton ha-1; 96,05 ton C ha-1; 352,49 ton CO2 eq ha-1. Komposisi jenis dan kondisi lingkungan abiotik berpengaruh terhadap simpanan karbon.id
