dc.description.abstract | Meranti merah dan pinus merupakan jenis kayu komersil yang memiliki kelas awet rendah (III-IV dan IV), sehingga diperlukan proses pengawetan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui waktu efektif pengawetan kayu meranti merah dan pinus berukuran penuh dengan metode rendaman dingin menggunakan bahan pengawet ACQ 5% yang memenuhi standar CTI STD-112. Proses perendaman dilakukan selama 5, 7, dan 9 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kayu pinus memiliki nilai rata-rata retensi dan penetrasi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kayu meranti merah. Nilai retensi dan penetrasi bahan pengawet semakin meningkat pada kedua jenis kayu seiring dengan lamanya perendaman. Kayu pinus yang direndam bahan pengawet ACQ membutuhkan waktu 5 lima hari, sedangkan kayu meranti merah membutuhkan waktu rendaman selama 9 hari untuk memenuhi nilai yang ditetapkan standar CTI STD-112. Berdasarkan nilai penetrasi dari komponen Copper amine dan Quaternary ammonium, kayu pinus memiliki waktu perendaman yang lebih singkat dibandingkan kayu meranti merah. Perbedaan kerapatan kayu dapat mempengaruhi penetrasi pengawet ACQ. | id |
dc.description.abstract | Red meranti and Pine were commercial wood species that have low durability classes (III-IV and IV), so a preservation process was necessary. The objective of this study was to determine the effective time of preservation of full-scale red meranti and pine wood using the cold soaking method of 5% ACQ preservative that met the CTI STD-112 standard. The soaking process was carried out for 5, 7, and 9 days. The results showed that pine wood has a higher average retention and penetration value than red meranti wood. The value of retention and penetration of preservatives increased in both types of wood along with the duration of immersion. Pine wood soaked with ACQ preservative takes 5 days, while red meranti wood takes 9 days to soak to meet the values set by the CTI STD-112 standard. Based on the penetration value of Copper amine and Quaternary ammonium components, pine wood has a shorter effective soaking time than red meranti wood. The difference in density of the wood can affect the penetration of ACQ preservatives. | id |
