      Abstract

Changeable Hawk Eagle (Nisaetus cirrhatus) is a bird of prey (predator) that is currently experiencing a decline in the number of species in nature. One of the efforts to preserve the population is employing in-situ conservation and rehabilitation. The purpose of this study was to determine the daily behavior, management of birds at the Kamojang Eagle Conservation Center, and to analyze behavioral criteria for readiness before being released into the wild. The research was conducted from February to March 2021 at the Kamojang Eagle Conservation Center, West Java. Observation of daily behavior using Focal Animal Sampling method, and management using interviews, literature study, and observation. The daily behavior of Changeable Hawk Eagle (Nisaetus cirrhatus) at the Kamojang Eagle Conservation Center is silent behavior (58.61%) which includes activities of standing relaxed, looking left and right, squirming; moving behavior (18.95%) includes searching, making sounds, cleaning the body while shaking the body, moving the tail, moving, gliding, and flying; eating behavior (ingestive) (22.44%) includes eating and defecation activities.
