dc.description.abstractHabronemiasis is a parasitic disease of horses which is caused by the invasion of Draschia megastoma, and Habronema muscae nematodes and is transmitted by stable flies. The goal of this case study is to compile as well as provide an understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of Habronemiasis that can be applied for the recovery treatment of the horses in a humid environment such as Bogor. The method of this study is by obtaining data from cases of Habronemiasis in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, IPB and searching scientific papers online with the keywords "Habronemiasis", "endoparasite", "clinical sign",and "diagnosis and treatment of Habronemiasis ". The scientific papers that have been collected were grouped in clinical sign, diagnosis and treatment of Habronemiasis. Clinical signs that indicate Habronemiasis are pruritic and ocular granulomatous lesions, lesions on male genital organ, and ulcerative skin with plaque. Diagnostic method that has been done in these cases are collecting sample by skin scraping for microscopic assessment and another method of collecting sample from faeces can also be done according to the scientific papers. For treatment, Ivermectin with the combination of antibiotic and corticosteroid are used in this study that have improved the healing process of Habronemiasis.id
