dc.description.abstract | The experiment was carried out to studi the effect of adding sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Nees) leaves meal in the diets on leucocytes and cholesterol profiles of broilers. A completely randomized design used in this research with 160 day old chicken that devided into 5 treatment P0 = basal diet/BD; P1 = BD + 0.2 % sambiloto meal; P2 = BD + 0.4 % sambiloto meal; P3 = BD + 0.6 % sambiloto meal and P4 = BD + 0.8 % sambiloto meal. Each treatment had 4 replications with 8 chicks per replication. The variables observed were leucocytes total, heterophile percentage, limfocyte percentage, total cholesterol, feed consumption, weight gain, feed convertion, mortality, production indeks and abdominal fat. The data analysed by Program Minitab Statistical Software Release 13.30. The results showed that treatments had no effect on the leucocytes profile. Total cholesterol was significantly lowest (P<0.01) in P3, however HDL and LDL of blood were significantly (P<0.05) better than those of the control. Performances of P3 was better than which in the all treatments. | id |
