Isolasi dan Identifikasi Monoasilgliserol Omega-3 (Monoester Omega-3).
Abstract
Omega-3 which come from fish oil, especially from Lemuru fish oil has many advantages for health. Omega-3 is Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid with first double bond located between number 3 and 4 of carbon atomic which consist of EPA and DHA. The purpose of this research was to separate monoester omega-3’s component with isolation method use Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) based on difference of polarity and then identification isolation’s result with GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) and FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra Red). With TLC, the separation succed with petroleum benzene 400C solvents. Result of GC-MS showed of the sample have Oktadekatrienoat Acid (ALA) 3,29%. Fish oil before hydrolysis, after hydrolysis (monoester omega-3), and result of TLC isolation have alkana (C-H), Aldehide eter carboxyle ester acid (C-O), Aldehide keton carboxyle ester acid (C=O), alcohol fenol (hydrogen bond) (O-H), amina (C-N), and nitro (-NO2). All of sample haven’t alkena (C=C), alkuna (C≡C), and alcohol fenol (monomer) (O-H).
