Identifikasi dan Analisis Tata Guna Lahan dan Kecukupan Air Irigasi di Dua Desa Lingkar Kampus IPB (Desa Cibanteng dan Desa Benteng)

Abstract

Water is one of the important factors in agriculture cultivation process. Irrigation planning was very important to guarantee water availability especially for paddy field. Water deficiency influenced paddy development and could reduced its productivity. To fulfill plant water requirement, irrigation must be given in right time and quality. The objectives of this research are to identify and analyse land use, irrigation requirements, and irrigation sufficiency in two villages. The result showed that land use in Cibanteng village and Benteng villages were used for settlement, farming and plantation area. Analysing by Map Info software, showed that settlement and farming area in both villages are increased, but the plantation area is decreased. The irrigation water requirement was calculated by Cropwat software and the result for Cibanteng village in second plant time is 1.47 lt/s and for Benteng village is 0.416 lt/s. The irrigation water sufficiency in Cibanteng village is 26.64 lt/s and in Benteng village is 30.42 lt/s. From that irrigation water sufficiency, the farming area in both villages can planted with paddy twice in a year and once planted with dry crop.
