Kajian Peluang Implementasi Produksi Bersih Di Industri Pengolahan Karet (Studi Kasus di PT Condong Garut)

Abstract

Rubber processing industry uses the resources of large amounts of water. This causes the rubber industry has to deal with various types of wastes in the form of liquid and solid wastes and the generation of waste gas of pungent odor. Environmental problems, as a result of these activities can be minimized by applying cleaner production. Cleaner production aims to increase the efficient use of raw materials, minimize waste and the risk of direct contamination at the source. The cleaner production alternatives which are potential to be applied are good housekeeping, collects rubber particles in rubber trap, use of coagulant antibacteria, and giving incentive for industry that apply cleaner production. The total investment of these option is Rp 660.000,- with payback period (PBP) of 0,28 bulan. The use Liqiud Smoke may reduce the RSS processing cost around 17,6%, and avoid carbon dioxide pollution. The results of AHP suggests that the environment is the most important factor in the implementation of cleaner production and the most important actor is the industry. Strategy to implement good housekeeping is the most important strategies that are generated from the AHP. This result indicates the similarity of field data analysis and expert survey that good housekeeping is the most important proper strategy for implementing cleaner production at PT Condong Garut.
